What does an AI automation agency do?

What's the difference between an AI workflow and an AI agent?
A workflow follows the same steps every time: route this lead, sync these fields, send that report. An agent makes a judgement call inside a job, such as how to answer a lead. Most automations are workflows with one or two AI steps; we use an agent only where judgement is needed.
Why n8n automation instead of Zapier or Make?
It can be self-hosted, has no per-task pricing, and lets us write code when a node isn't enough. Our own agency runs on it.
